Santamaria and teammate Vedang Lad played a large role in pushing the Knights to the team title late in the meet. It was a collective effort, however, along with Luke Johnson, to get to that point as the Knights scored at least one point in seven of the ten events. Santamaria and Lad had their hand in a 13-point performance in the 1600 as the two, took up half of the top six. Johnson placed second with a time of 4:20.27 with Santamaria earning fourth in 4:22.89 and Lad taking sixth in 4:25.58.
