Each teams comes in at 1-2 on the season and are looking to to even their record and get back into serious contention for the playoffs. The Cowboys hope to finally get their offense going. Last week, they were able to get Ezekiel Elliott going, but the passing game faltered and mistakes everywhere kept the point production down. This week, they face a Lions defense that is the worst in the league against the run, so you will definitely see a healthy dose of Zeke. Ultimately, though, the Cowboys and Dak Prescott will have to put together a viable passing attack to win the game, even is it’s just to complement the run game. The Cowboys defense had a little bit of a let down last week after two stellar outings in the first two weeks. The pass rush wasn’t able to take advantage of an injured and sub-par Seahawks offensive line; they’ll need to do better this week versus veteran Matthew Stafford. The Lions finally got a 100-yard rusher last week, so they are hoping they finally have balance. It’s a big game for both teams.
