HOUSTON — First things first: The Minnesota Timberwolves are not merely happy to be in the playoffs for the first time since 2004 Markus Wheaton Jersey , despite the prevailing narrative regarding their presence.

Houston, the most prolific 3-point shooting team in the league by volume, hit 69 of 159 3s in those four games for a robust 43.4 percent.

How Minnesota handles the challenge that comes with defending the Rockets might align with its offensive approach. By relying on Towns, who paced the team in points (1,743), rebounds (1,012), blocks (115) and 3-pointers (120) Kerry Hyder Jersey , plus Butler in the post, Minnesota might unlock a pace that could prevent Houston from its usually lethal combo of layups and open 3s.

The Minnesota Vikings have signed wide receiver Tavarres King.

The team announced the signing Thursday. King joins the Vikings after spending the 2015-17 seasons with the New York Giants. He also has previous stops with the Denver Broncos, Carolina Panthers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jacksonville Jaguars.

The former Georgia player was a fifth-round draft pick (161st overall) by the Broncos in 2013. He made his NFL debut in 2014 with Tampa Bay, appearing in two games.

For his career, King has appeared in 17 games with three starts. Over the past two seasons, King played in 15 games with the Giants with all three starts coming in 2017. He has totaled 22 career receptions for 303 yards and three touchdowns.
