The Jacksonville Jaguars have some needs to address during the second day of the NFL draft.

The Jaguars selected Florida's Taven Bryan with the 29th pick in the first round Thursday night Malik Jefferson Color Rush Jersey , adding to an already stout defensive front.

Top executive Tom Coughlin and general manager Dave Caldwell insisted they drafted the best player available, choosing Bryan instead of filling holes. Plugging those spots should come next.

Jacksonville has the 61st and 93rd overall picks in the second and third rounds, respectively, Friday. The Jags could go in a number of directions with those selections, including addressing tight end Cheap Minkah Fitzpatrick Jersey , offensive line, linebacker, receiver or cornerback.

The team parted ways with veteran tight end Marcedes Lewis last month and lost veteran linebacker Paul Posluszny to retirement. They also let receiver Allen Robinson and cornerback Aaron Colvin sign elsewhere in free agency.

No one would be surprised to see Coughlin and Caldwell address the offensive line, either. Right guard A.J. Cann is entering the final year of his contract, and right tackle Jermey Parnell has dealt with groin and knee injuries in recent years.

It was clear to the Raiders early on in Khalil Mack‘s holdout that he wanted far more money than the Raiders wanted to pay him.

That’s the word from Raiders General Manager Reggie McKenzie Adidas Nolan Patrick Jersey , who said after trading Mack to the Bears that the Raiders could tell early on that Mack was going to demand a contract the Raiders weren’t prepared to deliver on.

“All of us, [coach Jon Gruden], myself, everybody in the organization wanted Khalil to be a Raider,” McKenzie said. “We presented him with an offer Ronald Jones II Jersey Buccaneers , and we got that counter back, talked about it with [Mack’s agent, Joel Segal]. What they were demanding, it just wasn’t going to work.”

What Mack was demanding was to be the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL, and that’s exactly what the Bears made him. The teams also exchanged draft picks Authentic Terrelle Pryor Sr. Jersey , with the Raiders getting the Bears’ first-round picks in 2019 and 2020. Now the Raiders need to make those picks work.
